Not sure if its fixed things overall, but speed is uch more consistent and not diving close to zero. weirdly, restarting latest version of qBittorrent seemed to make it run well for the first minute, then it would go bad, going in bursts of download speed for a second. looked like a boxwave graph for speed! I was using latest version and on windows Downloading 3. I was just running v 4. I had to reset win10 and reinstall all my programs. But that only gave me a snail speed dl. Now I've downgraded after day 3 and I'm finally hitting my full dl speed with v 3. Thank you buggerlugz! That seems to help a LOT!

Your picture shows the circle as green, so that should be good. Your problem is likely apparent now on uTorrent as well, if you test it. If uTorrent was also slow It might be a GOOD thing if regular internet speed tests shows your line as slow, because then it's easier to argue with your ISP that the problem's on their end -- instead of them possibly screwing over BitTorrent traffic but not everything else as well.

I checked on my old machine a Macbook pro and the stame storrents instantly get up to really fast speeds on utorrent. I think that rules out the possibility that the problem is on my ISP's end. Remove "leftover" DLLs. CCleaner is what I use. Defrag hard drives. Is Windows allowed to cache your drives for both reads and writes? Sometimes that gets disabled, causing huge performance decreases.

I also dont have any antivirus besides the windows 10 built in one not avast. I believe windows is allowed to cache my drives.
